WERiSE COALITION
THE WE RISE COALITION IS… An ongoing partnership between feminist organisations working to advance women’s human rights and gender equality in the Pacific, including for people of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sexual characteristics. The Coalition believes that diverse women can achieve transformative change when we work together through a vibrant, coordinated and sustainable feminist movement. The Coalition consists of the Fiji Women’s Rights Movement, femLINKpacific, and the International Women’s Development Agency. We are currently expanding the Coalition, and are inviting new partnerships with Pacific-led, feminist organisations.
THE VISION OF THE WE RISE COALITION IS … To positively transform the lives of diverse Pacific women. The Coalition is founded on a shared belief that women achieve transformative social, policy and institutional change when they organise their communities with the support of a sustainable, home-grown feminist movement.
